Are there different types of dentures?

From the preliminary consultation to completed dentures, or denture adjustments and denture relining, this skilled team utilizes the highest quality materials to deliver the best overall experience. You have multiple dental options to choose from, including:
- Metal framework partial dentures

- Denture relines
- Soft denture liners
- Implant-supported dentures
At A Caring Dental Group, all dentures are constructed in-house by licensed denturists. This is a great advantage, as you can see your dentures throughout the process. Your denturist can adjust the fit and feel of your dentures along the way to ensure your final smile is one that's both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.
Should I get immediate dentures?
You might be a prime candidate for immediate dentures if you've lost your teeth as a result of illness, injury, or decay, and need full dentures. Immediate dentures offer you the benefit and convenience of never having to be without teeth. Be aware, though, that as your mouth heals from the loss of your natural teeth and immediate denture inserts, your dentures require relining to ensure the most comfortable and accurate fit over time.
What are partial dentures?
Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. The most common type of partials has a cast metal frame. They only replace missing teeth, rather than all of your natural teeth, like full dentures. The rigid metal frame provides sturdy support for chewing, particularly when you're missing molars. Partial dentures with metal frames do not need dental adhesives to stay in place. They have clasps that securely anchor to existing teeth.
A more cost-effective alternative is acrylic partial dentures. They tend to be cheaper than partials with metal frames, but they also need to be replaced more often. Acrylic partials are usually a temporary solution for missing front teeth while the dentist makes permanent partials or bridges.
What if I need denture repairs?
At A Caring Dental Group, our licensed denturists can repair custom dentures in a matter of hours, sometimes while you wait, depending on the type of repair needed. Denture repairs take place on-site.
